Hey Chris,

Another Corporate America Chris here. I'm a programmer like Adam by day, and I write for my kids at night and in the mornings, on weekends, and when I can find the time.

Don't be discouraged, write what the Lord puts on your heart to write, whether it be an adventure story, a romance, a historical fiction, or a non-fiction. God's calling us to serve him with our pens...

For me, that means writing cool adventure stories for my kids with some Christian truth embedded.

Glad you got your blog up and running in time for the chain. Layout looks good - attractive but simple. I think people who are in careers that require a very logical analytical way of thinking need a good creative outlet when they get home, and writing is a great option. Most of us in my workplace (a bunch of computer programmers) have creative outlets of one type or another.

Yes, for many of us any writing puts us in the discomfort zone. I'm glad you've now found peace!

Good for you, Chris! Leave the corporate shackles for a few moments every day and allow your more creative side to express itself. It's good for the soul.
Terrific post!

Unfortunately, from what I've observed, Corporate America is important for maintaining the nation's economy, but it is not known for encouraging creative pursuits, such as writing. I am so glad you're breaking the mold, Chris. Thanks.

Hi, Chris! Welcome to the blog chain. I like your blog design and your post for the DZ blog tour. Writing is scary for all of us, even those of us who have made or currently make our living at it. It's frightening to deliberately make yourself vulnerable like that, but if we want to heed God's calling, we press on with it.

Thanks for sharing your journey with us! I look forward to reading more from you.
